Biographical
Info
S. Lynn Walker was born in and has been a life long resident
of Shreveport, Louisiana. She received her associate degree
and bachelor of science degree in business from Louisiana
State University in Shreveport. While at LSU-S she achieved
the award for the highest graduating GPA in the general business
major that year. She graduated from Louisiana State University
Law School in 1990 in the top eleven percent of her class.
She was a member of the Moot Court Board and was one of twelve
semi-finalists from her class in the Robert Lee Tullis Moot
Court Competition. She was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal
Fraternity and was listed in the "Whose Who Among American
Law Students"; 9th Edition.
Ms. Walker has practiced law in Northwest Louisiana since
graduation and her concentration has always been in Family
Law matters. The Louisiana State Bar Association has designated
Ms. Walker as a Board Certified Family Law Specialist.
Ms. Walker is a member of several genealogical societies,
including the Magna Charta Dames, the Colonial Dames of the
Seventeenth Century, and the Society of Descendants of Knights
of the Most Noble Order of the Garter . Ms. Walker is an avid
cutting horse enthusiast and competitor. She and her American
Quarter Horse gelding, Handle Bar Herman , have been listed
in the Top Ten in the World of the National Cutting Horse
Association (NCHA) in 1996, 1997 and 1998.
